This is a picture of one of the stories from my book. I had to wear those lovely giant sunglasses for a long time. Underneath it was a huge patch as well. Needless to say, I was really cool in middle school.

The first lesson I ever taught in my teaching career was a rough one to say the least. In my eleventh story you’ll learn how that first lesson almost scared me away from teaching.
“I stared after him dumbly as he walked out of the room while everything in my entire being wanted to scream, “Don’t leave me in here alone!”
What happens when old school philosophies meet new school stubbornness? Well in my tenth story you’ll learn just how this clash turned out.
“His philosophy, which he inherited from my grandfather, was a little outdated. In the 21st century, most people who couldn’t get a tooth out because it hurt too much— or because it was stuck—would go to the dentist.”
I had never made chocolate covered strawberries before and in my ninth story you’ll learn how wrong the first time I made them went. “Now, just to set the record straight, it is a challenge for me to make mac and cheese, so chocolate covered strawberries was not an easy thing.”
I admittedly charge into the unknown frequently- it’s a guy thing, I guess. In my 8th story you will read about the consequences I endured because I didn’t ask for direction.
“Turning my head, I looked behind me just in time to see a fin surface maybe thirty feet behind me. I knew I was unlucky enough that my first day surfing, I would get attacked by a shark.”
